Brandenburger Tor wooden magnet – Berlin on your fridge
This magnet brings Berlin's best-known landmark home in a form you can hold: the Brandenburger Tor is laser-cut through natural wood and then engraved, so the twelve Doric columns, the entablature and the Quadriga on the roof appear as a small architectural relief instead of a printed picture.
The gate reads clearly even from across the kitchen, and the open cuts let the colour of your fridge door show through the colonnade. Small, light and unmistakably Berlin – a souvenir that earns its place rather than disappearing into a drawer.
Two hundred years of Berlin history in one gate
Completed in 1791 as a symbol of peace, the Brandenburger Tor has been at the centre of German history ever since. Napoleon carried the Quadriga off to Paris in 1806; it came back in 1814. When the city was divided, the gate stood on the border, and since 1989 it has been the image of a reunited Berlin.
That makes it a meaningful gift for anyone who has lived in Berlin, studied there, visited once and never quite stopped thinking about it – or for the architecture lover who wants the neoclassical proportions without a poster on the wall.
Laser-cut and engraved, not printed
Each piece is produced in small batches in our workshop in Germany. The outline is cut in one pass and the facade is engraved line by line, which is why the cornices, the relief panels and the horse team still hold up when you look closely. The engraved areas are darkened by the laser itself, so there is no ink to fade.

Good to know
Wood is a natural material, so grain pattern and tone vary slightly from piece to piece – no two magnets are identical. Wipe with a dry or slightly damp cloth and keep the magnet out of the dishwasher and away from long exposure to direct sunlight.
