Handmade Kröpcke Clock fridge magnet – Hanover

The original clock was designed in 1885 as a decorative weather pillar (Wettersäule) by city architect Johann de Jonge. Located at the intersection of Georgstraße and Bahnhofstraße, it quickly became the cultural heart of the city and the ultimate phrase in local geography: "Wir treffen uns an der Uhr" (Let's meet at the clock). Although the original Wilhelmine-style structure was dismantled in 1954 to accommodate modern traffic planning, its absence was deeply felt. In 1977, a faithful, meticulously detailed replica was cast and reinstalled, restoring this beloved artistic timepiece to the city's skyline.
