History of Kurhaus in Wiesbaden - A Legacy of Neoclassical Elegance
The Kurhaus Wiesbaden is the historic centerpiece of Hesse's capital. Originally opened in 1810 to serve a booming gambling scene, it established Wiesbaden as an international world spa town. By 1907, growing prestige demanded a grander venue, leading star architect Friedrich von Thiersch to construct a magnificent neoclassical palace inaugurated by Kaiser Wilhelm II.
Despite severe WWII damage to its lavish interiors, a meticulous 1987 restoration faithfully returned the building to its 1907 Wilhelmine splendor, preserving a masterpiece of European architectural history.
Unique Design Aesthetic
Our magnets stand out through their precision orthographic architectural drawings. By using clean, technical lines and avoiding perspective distortion, we capture the essential geometry and timeless beauty of the building's facade. It is more than a souvenir; it is a pocket-sized work of art for design lovers and collectors.
Traditional Craftsmanship
Each magnet is individually hand-made in our workshop using traditional bookbinding techniques. We produce in small series to ensure the highest quality and attention to detail for every single piece.
