The Nerobergbahn: A Historic Engineering Marvel
Since 1888, the historic Nerobergbahn has been a defining technical landmark of Wiesbaden. Designed by engineer Carl Vering, it stands as one of the world’s last remaining funicular railways powered entirely by water ballast. This ingenious 19th-century system operates by filling the descending carriage with up to 7,000 liters of water, using gravity to effortlessly pull the ascending carriage up the steep incline from the Nerotal to the Neroberg summit.
Distinguished by its dramatic silhouette of five towers, the Marktkirche reflects the ambition of an up-and-coming world spa town. While its structure was severely damaged during WWII in 1945, the church was reconstructed and reopened in 1948, serving today as a vital architectural monument of national cultural importance and the religious heart of the Hessian capital.
Unique Design Aesthetic
Our magnets stand out through their precision orthographic architectural drawings. By using clean, technical lines and avoiding perspective distortion, we capture the essential geometry and timeless beauty of the building's facade. It is more than a souvenir; it is a pocket-sized work of art for design lovers and collectors.
